locomotives, used in underground excavations classified as levels a, b and c of methane explosion hazard
and levels A or B of coal dust explosion hazard 

Engine GEBAR type LDS-327 is a serial engine conducting direct current. It is cooled with the air. It has an
explosion-proof construction with a fireproof protection “d. The device is classified to the group I devices
category M2. Engine’s casing provides the level IP54 of protection from the access of dangerous parts and
the ingress of foreign bodies and water to inner parts. The engine is adopted to being powered from the
traction network with a voltage 144V. The engine works at full field current. The regulation of rotation velocity
and the voltage of installed engine is provided by the transistor control system type TUSO, TUSO/M and/or
TURO. The engine is marked with a feature of flameproof construction I M2 Ex d I Mb according to European
norms in accordance with directive 94/9/WE(ATEX).
